first part: easy hike second part: medium mountain tour

This attractive mountain tour in the northern part of the Seckauer Tauern starts in the glacial Triebental valley, which already gives you an idea of the beautiful hiking area we are heading for during the drive. The well-known Bergerhube is the perfect starting point (with camping facilities) for numerous hikes. This ridge hike is an experience in itself, and the views on fine days exceed all expectations: from the view into the heart of the Seckauer Tauern mountains over the Liesingtal valley with the Eisenerz Alps behind it to the Gesäuse mountains.

More information

take the B114 to the Triebental entrance, follow Triebentalstraße for approx. 8 km to Bergerhube
We start at the Bergerhube (1412 m) and hike along a slightly ascending forest road - in the direction of the Moaralm - to the Bärensuhlsattel junction. The trail leads uphill through the forest, crossing forest roads and passing a wooden hut. After a short time, we reach a forest-free slope and then the Bärensuhlsattel (1794 m), where we turn left and hike uphill to the Griesmoarkogel (2009 m). After a short descent, we hike uphill to the Himmeleck (2096 m). We return the same way, but if you still have enough energy you can also do a loop via the Himmelkogel and the Moaralm.
A stop at the Bergerhube is always a pleasant experience
This tour is NOT considered "accessible by train and bus" because there is no regular connection.
